No Face

Ripley has had this bear since we got her in January.

She likes to make out with it.

Lesson of the day, don't make out with Ripley.

Due to an unfortunate accident Bear has now lost a foot.

She's a Lady

Whoooaa, whoooaa, she's a lady!

I constantly get the question, "is it a girl or a boy?" when I'm on a walk with Ripley P. Eyebrows. With a very androgynous name like Ripley and the mentality that "dogs are boys and cats are girls" people do not readily know what Ripley's sex is. And I'd like to fix it in an obvious and sparkly way.

Cue pink rhinestone collar! I'm on the market and I've found a few awesome ones. I like this straight forward pink sparkle collar. The thing that's annoying is I like the teal one better...buuuut that kinda defeats the purpose.

I like that this one could potentially have her name on it.

Pink on pink? Is that a clear enough message?

Who spends $140 on a dog collar?! I saw another that was over $340K. No joke. Real diamonds on a dog collar. Insane.

What do you think of this resolution? I mean my own mother glued a bow to my head when I was a baby since I was bald til age three. Yes, bald.

Dog Blog

Yep, this will probably turn into "The Dog Blog." Sorry if you come here for other reasons but such is life. I love her. Ripley's lovable and puppy-like. We got her a doggy-door last night and she used it today without coaching to do her puppy business outside. I was elated and I think I scared her a little when I shouted for joy when she came back inside (I was totally peep-toming her). But the treats she received quickly consoled her fright.

She discovered that she likes her bouncy ball today and was enjoying sitting in a pile of pillows and gnawing on it. I just love her. And just in case you weren't sure, focusing on a black dog in low light is crazy hard....
You should totally click on this picture to enlarge it. It's cuteness overload x 10.

Ripley!

If you read my photography blog or are friends with me on Facebook you've already seen her but I can't stop posting this cute photo. I love this little girl so much! She was my Christmas present from Sir Luke this year and we just got her last night. I'm not going to lie, her breeder freaked me out a little but I'm so glad we got her. She's the cuddliest, sweetest little thing.

I gave her a bath as soon as we got home, since she wasn't traumatized enough as it was... And I couldn't believe the dirt that came off of her! Sick. She was totally freaked out but loves me to bits which makes my heart melt. She follows me all over the place and enjoys sitting in my lap

We both love her. It took us forever to come up with a name. I refused to call her "eyebrows" like Sir Luke wanted. Not for reals, anyway. Some names that were nixed:

Eyebrows
Caramello
Bear
Cappuccino
Snapshot
Ceja (eyebrow in Spanish)
Gem
Dixie
Stinky
Twix
Rollo
Carlos the Destroyer (Ten points if you know the reference. Hint: it's not The Hangover)
Jolene
Boba
Cyan
Fudge

For the record, Sir Luke is the one wanting to name her after candy and food items. I'm glad we finally decided because I got her cute little name tag printed up and I can't wait to see it hanging from her tiny little neck.
